Weston TT

There was a busy start to the weekend for some members of the fleet who decided that, with the boats rigged, there was only one place to go — the Frog and Frigate! After a big Friday night, everyone eventually remembered there was some sailing to be done the next morning.

Saturday brought plenty of breeze and four races, with some really close battles throughout the fleet. There was plenty of action on the water, along with a few moments of “interesting” boat-to-boat interaction between races!

The evening involved a fantastic BBQ put on by the club and some games to get the classes interacting! These were highly entertaining and definitely highlighted that, while we may be on different boats, we are all linked by our highly competitive nature!

Sunday brought lighter winds, with local knowledge coming in useful for some sailers. The final race saw the fast and slow fleets sharing the same course, making for some busy mark roundings!

Huge congratulations to Mark and Catherine on taking the win this weekend!

A big thank you to everyone at Weston Sailing Club for hosting us and putting on such a good event. It was brilliant to have all the classes together both on and off the water — a fantastic Cat Open!
